Viking Girls Basketball Club Prep Academy Grade 3 and 4

Description:

Join this motivational and active program to learn basketball fundamentals as well as prepare to play in actual games. Many age-appropriate drills, games, will be included every session. This program is offered through Vikings Girls Basketball Club and supported by the High School program as well as Community Education. Leaders will keep these young players excited about basketball, gently transition into games and tournaments. All players will receive a new basketball and jersey! Mandatory Parent/Player orientation will be held on November 13, 8-10am. Deadline to register November 17.

Tournaments/Scrimmages:

Scrimmages: The team will have the opportunity to scrimmage up to two schools in a friendly format with no officials or scoreboard, and coaches will be on the court to work through game situations.

Tournaments: The team will have the opportunity to play (2) tournaments with officials and a scoreboard. Teams will play 3 games each tournament. All tournaments will charge a general admission fee per spectator.

Parent Coaches Needed:

One head coach and one assistant coach will have player fee reimbursed at the end of the season (according to the expectations outlined in bylaws by VGBC). If you would like to help coach don't be nervous or intimidated, coaches will be supported and trained by the VGBC and HS coaches. Please contact Community Ed at 651-674-1025 if interested.
